Abdulaziz joined BECO in 2018 and leads investments where he works closely with the managing partners and investment team. He has been an active investor in the venture space since 2012 and is also a co-founder and managing partner at Oryx Ventures, a firm focused on growth-stage venture investing in the US that has backed companies including Cohesity, DataRobot, Palantir, and Versa Networks. He holds a BSc in Business Management from Kings College London.

Ameera joined BECO in 2021 and is responsible for finding and attracting top tier talent from around the world for the rapidly growing BECO family. She has more than six years of recruitment and HR advisory experience and has worked with leading organizations across several industries. Ameera holds a BA in Business & Human Resources Management from Middlesex University in the UAE.
Senior Data & Ops Analyst
Anushka joined BECO in 2019 and works within the finance function as well as in the analysis and monitoring of BECO’s funds’ performance and its portfolio companies. Her innate interest for maths allows her to be proficient with numbers and doing data deep dives. Anushka holds a BE in Information Technology from Dharmsinh Desai University.
Co-Founder & Managing Partner
Dany co-founded BECO Capital in 2012 and is currently a Managing Partner where he focuses on overall strategy for the firm and leading investments. Dany is a Kauffman fellow and is a board member of the Dubai Chamber Digital Economy, steering policy to drive innovation in Dubai. He is a successful serial entrepreneur and investor, co-founding Bayt.com, the Middle East’s largest job site, and other notable exits in the business support services sector. Dany holds a BSc in Management Sciences from UCL.
A member of the BECO team since it’s founding in 2012, Dona oversees all day-to-day office management. Dona is also responsible for all accounting, bookkeeping and payroll activities, in addition to assisting in HR tasks at BECO. With more than 11 years of experience, Dona’s prior roles have been in both Dubai and the Philippines, having started her career there at Nestlé.
Felix joined BECO in 2022 and oversees the Finance team. Prior to that, he has 10+ years of experience at General Electric across global finance leadership positions within various business segments including GE Corporate and GE Capital. He has led teams to close milestone transactions through deal structuring and financing arrangements. Felix is a CFA charterholder and studied International Business Management at Furtwangen University in Germany and Suzhou University in China.
Head of People & Culture
Judy joined BECO in 2018 where she initially focused on portfolio and ecosystem events before transitioning into the newly formed role as Head of People/HR. She works on building camaraderie to create a strong internal community, as well as cultivating BECO’s company culture and nurturing talent, while also providing support to portfolio companies when needed. She holds a BA in events management from the University of Westminster.
Karim joined BECO in 2021 and currently serves as an Investment Principal where he works closely with the partners and founders on new investments and existing portfolio companies. Prior to joining BECO Capital, Karim was a Senior Analyst at FIM Partners, a regional asset manager with over $2bn in assets under management. There, he conducted fundamental equity analysis on companies across several sectors within the MENA region and frontier public markets. Prior to FIM, Karim was at EFG Hermes Asset Management, helping launch their Frontier Equity strategy performing a similar role. He holds a Bachelors degree in Finance from Pepperdine University and a Masters in Global Finance from Fordham University.
Deal Sourcing Manager
Leen joined BECO in 2022 and leads Deal Sourcing where she focuses on managing deal flow and further enhancing BECO’s capabilities. Prior to joining BECO, Leen worked in Corporate Venture Building at Rainmaking, and was also the Managing Director for their Accelerator Program “Startupbootcamp” focused on Smart Cities in Dubai. Furthermore, she worked at Endeavor, an organization that supports high impact entrepreneurs, where she managed a portfolio of scale-ups and supported them with their capital needs, strategic alliances, and deployed services through local and global networks. Leen holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management and Marketing from Bentley University.
Mokhtar joined BECO in 2022 where he focuses on investments, specifically Web3. Before joining BECO, Mokhtar was part of Antler’s global venture team in London where he was a member of the team that established the Web3 and MENA investment verticals. Mokhtar was also a consultant to one of the largest digital asset exchanges, where he focused on growth strategy and operational transformation, in addition to working at Deloitte UK. Mokhtar holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from The American University in Cairo and an MSc in Economics & Strategy from Imperial College London.
Victor joined BECO in 2021 as a Research Manager. He focuses on exploring new opportunities in frontier markets / emerging technologies in addition to staying upto speed with all the latest developments for existing portfolio companies. He started his career at market research firm IBISWorld where he forecasted growth and conducted economic analysis across the manufacturing, wholesale and retail sectors. He then moved on to researching AI and robotics at CB Insights in New York. He holds a BSc in Economics and Finance from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
Yousef joined BECO in 2015 and is currently a Managing Partner where he focuses on the overall strategy for the firm and leading investments. Yousef is also a Kauffman Fellow. Prior to BECO, Yousef held various roles with General Electric, which included being Commercial Operation Director for GE’s Aviation business where he was responsible for managing sales campaigns for Saudi Arabia and Turkey. Before that, Yousef worked in the GE & Mubadala $5 billion joint venture. He also co-founded multiple businesses in Saudi Arabia including Cafe Arab, an artistic social space and coffee shop, Eventana, a corporate event management firm and Chemya, an industrial chemicals and lubes distributor. He holds a BSc in Finance from King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals.
